It has been a long time coming for this rebrand and I am so thrilled to share our 2020 Behind the Brand blog post! We worked on this for two years. And after I had my son, I was a new person. An older version of me with a new outlook on life. I was no longer this twenty-something year old that was trying to figure it out. The new me, I am wiser, more experienced, and have found my ideal clients who appreciate luxury with a fine art edge.

I worked with Julie, from Julie Shek Designs, on a brand new look almost two years ago. It was time for something more sophisticated, modern, and timeless. I am so in love with this color palette and a brand that I can be proud of. One that will translate through the years.

I reached out to Davey & Krista for a completely new haul on my old WordPress site. I loved the clean and modern look of Showit websites and I knew this was the direction I move towards. They created a beautiful template for me. My goal was to have a site that really enhanced my portfolio while giving clients a personal first impression.

My friend Lauren R. Swann helped me learn the new platform, listened to what I loved and what I disliked, cleaned up the clutter, held me accountable for getting this site up and running, and overall cheered me on the entire way. Friends like that are worth a million bucks and I’m grateful for all her help! So much of this brand is truly a reflection of me.

Speaking of friends, a huge thank you to Rudney Novaes and Curved and Co for the beautiful new headshots that we photographed last summer. They match the new brand so well!

Curating images was on of the hardest parts of the process. Over ten years I had taken so many beautiful images in so many incredible locations. I wanted this new brand to reflect my love for travel, love, and diversity. It was hard to narrow down so I’m thankful for the blog where I can share more wedding and engagement inspiration!

Lastly, we pulled together four wedding galleries and four portrait galleries to really give clients a look into our work. It was important to not just show one or two of our favorites — but a mini gallery into what to expect from your session or event. It really gives an in-depth look into the full experience. Something that future clients could imagine themselves working with us.
