Buena Vista Engagement Session: Melanie & AJ

It feels good to be photographing love again and Melanie and AJ’s Buena Vista, Colorado engagement session was so much fun! I shared their previews earlier this week and happy to share the full post today. We explored all coasts when narrowing down their engagement session location. As DC residents getting married on the Eastern Shore, we considered something outdoorsy in the DMV, Colorado during their summer vacation, and even California where Melanie is from. The options seemed endless but it really came down to what was special to them. So I booked my flight to Denver and drove through mountains and valleys to meet them in Buena Vista. It truly felt good to explore again and even better to visit new cities I had never dreamed of.

Melanie and AJ spent many summers and vacations here on the ranch and everywhere I turned was breathtaking. So I left it up to them, to show me the way and they did not disappoint. We started in town and drove all over BV exploring lakes, open roads, mountains, and their ranch. Every where we went was absolutely breathtaking and I got more and more excited with each image I took. It was truly incredible and I am so in love with all the varying Colorado landscapes. I cannot wait for their intimate wedding this fall and an even bigger celebration in 2021.
