Florence Italy Travel Guide

Our Florence Italy travel guide is short and sweet. It’s such a busy and vibrant city filled with charming locals and artists. And there is art everywhere you turn.

We enjoyed shopping in Mercato Centrale, the central market of Florence. Located near the San Lorenzo Basilica, this vibrant marketplace offers a wide range of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and local specialties like Italian leather. We grabbed a few treats for a charcuterie picnic.

After an espresso to start the day, we went sightseeing throughout the town. The Duomo is magnificent and incredibly detailed. We next visited a few museums before heading to Piazzle Michelangelo for a breathtaking sunset. This area of the city boasts panoramic views Florence, including the iconic red-tiled rooftops and the river. It was my favorite part of our visit to Firenze!

Enjoy!
