There is nothing more “California” than Catherine and Matt’s Coronado Island Summer Engagement Session. Catherine and Matt are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place in Southern California. So when we were discussing possible locations, we knew that Coronado Island would be the perfect location for their session. We originally had it planned for May, then we moved it to July, and ultimately landed on August. After months of waiting due to Coronavirus and work schedules, I booked a flight and was on my way to meet them. Lucky for them, the heat wave was kind of on its way out. The haze cleared that day and we knew it was going to be a beautiful afternoon at the beach.
We started at the same exact Night and Day Cafe that Catherine and Matt first met. And even though it was closed, we were able to grab a few pictures to mark where their story began. After a few moments in front of the colorful Coronado mural, we headed to the beach on base for a calmer Saturday evening. It was hot and super sunny, but these lovebirds were patient and fun. We strolled the sunset, splashed in the water, and cozied up in the dunes. My beach-lovin’ self was so into this day!
While Catherine and Matt won’t be living her forever, I am so glad we got to document their Coronado Island summer engagement session here. This is where their relationship began and absolutely where it should be documented. I cannot wait for their wedding this fall in Annapolis with an incredible vendor team.
Congratulations Catherine & Matt!
